H4H Dorset Rugby 2010

We deeply regret that due to unforeseen factors H4H International Rugby Dorset has been postponed until Easter 2011.

The adverse weather conditions in the winter 2009/10, has resulted in cancelled and rearranged premiership fixtures across the country.

Consequently some of our guest players have been unable to commit to our event.

The Ladies match was cancelled and the Senior Men’s match was in jeopardy, in addition funding and sponsorship at this time has been difficult to achieve.

We extend our grateful thanks to all those friends and businesses who had offered so much help for the event this year and hope that they will be able to join us again in 2011.

Friday 26th February the inaugural England Legends v Ireland Legends match for the Stuart Mangan Memorial Cup is being held at The Stoop, Twickenham. The Legends charity match, a fundraiser for paralysed rugby players, will provide the perfect opener to a great weekend of rugby with the Six Nations clash the following day.

The Legends game will see some of the big names of English and Irish rugby go head-to-head one more time, with those involved including Shane Byrne, Martin Corry, Rob Henderson, Jason Robinson, David Humphreys, Mike Catt, Richard Wallace, Josh Lewsey, Conor O'Shea, Jason Leonard and Peter Clohessy, to name but a few. After the game there will be plenty of entertainment - bands playing in the main bar and plenty of food and drinks to be had to make a great night of it. Help for Heroes Rugby Dorset 09 a resounding success

With almost 5000 people attending on the day to support our troops the first Help for Heroes rugby event in Bournemouth last weekend was a major success, with the two central games between the select squads providing some compelling and enthralling rugby.

The awesome British Lionesses won 92 - 0 against the British Services team with some exceptional handling and fast flowing rugby.

The International XV however had a more close run game against the Returning Heroes winning 48 - 36 in a display that showed experience and skill can still hold off youth.
